Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and assist in the development and documentation of all accounting procedures and processes; identifying opportunities for process improvements as the company grows.
  • Evaluate accounting treatment of the company’s transactions in accordance with US GAAP and ensure they are accurately reflected in the financial statements (ex: journal entries).
  • Book vendor bills to ensure accurate financial reporting (ex: capital assets, prepaid expenses).
  • Collect relevant data in the ERP system to build reports and analyze financial results.
  • Manage inventory valuation and review 3-way matching.
  • Prepare cash forecasts to manage working capital.
  • Ensure timely payment of accounts payable to suppliers.
  • Perform budget to actual expense analysis by department, highlighting significant variances.
  • Enter employee expense reports.
  • Prepare weekly summary of Company KPIs for the CEO, CFO, and VP of Sales.
  • Assist with the timely preparation of financial statements at month-end in accordance with US GAAP (ex: credit card reconciliations, A/R and inventory valuation, leases, prepaid expenses, warranty, deferred revenue, etc.)
  • Conduct analysis as required to support decision making and evaluate the impact of strategic decisions.
  • Assist with other requests and projects, as the need arises.
  • Note that this position will be cross trained in other functions of the Finance team (ex: revenue recognition, A/R, and subscription management) to ensure consistency and collaboration across the team.
