About Me
Andrew is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Waterloo and has spent the last five years (in addition to previous co-ops) as a mechanical designer and general engineering contractor. Technically speaking, his experience spans robotic factory automation to various levels of medical, optical, and IoT device design and manufacturing. He is a driven, team-motivated individual who strives to build community in all aspects of his life. He aims to have a way with words and participates actively, with a particular penchant for puns.
At Work
Andrew enjoys developing innovative and intuitive products and has a longstanding passion for all things mechanical in nature (especially the small features that often go unnoticed by the average user). As a hardware project manager, he oversees the entire design and development cycle for new and existing water-focused products, from budgeting and concepting to R&D to design for manufacturing. He creates and refines requirements, defines and executes subtasks, and coordinates schedules, meetings, and milestones to ensure that we deliver great products on time.
Outside of Work
Andrew’s love for design and management comes from a mix of social and technical hobbies and interests. When he’s not pouring latte foam, mixing drinks, or preparing a charcuterie board for a board game night or large Italian get-together, he can be found on a hiking trail, writing poetry (which he’ll eventually publish), listening to a unique vinyl collection on Hi-Fi speakers, or fixing something car- or home-related for a friend.
