Flowie Wins Innovative Product of 2019 at The Buildings Show
Smart building sensor company, Alert Labs, received recognition at The Buildings Show 2019 for its flagship water flow sensor, Flowie. The easy-to-use smart building sensor was named Innovative Product of 2019 on December 5 by the Toronto Construction Association (TCA).
Property management reduces water waste 15% to 23%
“We’ve designed and built the Flowie water flow sensor to give property managers the power to reduce water waste in an easy and effective way. Companies that manage multiple buildings and units are reducing water waste 15% to 23% on average with Flowie. Property Managers no longer need to struggle to identify water cost savings opportunities. To have our smart building technology recognized by the industry members of the Toronto Construction Association is truly an honour,” says CEO and co-founder of Alert Labs, George Tsintzouras.
Lower water bills and minimize damage
Flowie learns water use patterns to lower water bills and help prevent damage in any building. This professional-grade sensor and software platform also monitors and sends alerts for leaks, floods, unusual water use, power outages, humidity, and temperature. To date, Flowie and the accompanying Insights Platform have saved more than a billion gallons of wasted water and helped save over $1,000,000 in water costs across North America.
As building owners and property managers realize the savings and insight that Flowie provides, Alert Labs has expanded its team of sensors that provide conservation and sustainability solutions for water management professionals. The company added three new water sensors to its lineup in 2019: Sumpie sump pump sensor, Flowie-O water flow sensor (for indoor and outdoor meters) and Shuttie automatic water shut-off valve. Property managers are using these sensors to improve operational efficiency and reduce water costs at their properties.
Manage entire building portfolio
“We’ve made it easy for property managers to install our smart water sensors and remotely monitor all of their buildings on a single platform,” says Tsintzouras. “Our goal is to continue bringing new easy-to-use, friendly technology to market that will help conserve water and minimize unexpected damage for our customers.
