See Abnormal Water Usage To Save Big Now
Detecting abnormal water consumption at any building is possible with the AlertAQ Water Intelligence Platform. Multi-family residential buildings, commercial real estate, and institutional buildings all benefit from this cost-saving technology.
How does abnormal water usage detection work?
AlertAQ learns usage patterns for each building in a portfolio and creates a benchmark. It identifies abnormally high usage by comparing water usage with the benchmark. The hour of the day and peak daily usage are part of the analysis.
When AlertAQ detects significant changes in water patterns that indicate a likely problem, it sends a text or email alert. Maintenance teams and property managers can then investigate. The abnormal water usage is also recorded in the historical water timeline.
Advanced leak detection and abnormal water usage alerts
Abnormal water usage alerts work with another AlertAQ feature: Advanced leak detection. Together, they track and send alerts for all properties in your portfolio.
Identify high water usage trends
The water timeline now displays the expected high water usage trend. The trend will display the expected high for each hour based on the previous 2 weeks of usage data.
High water use SMS alerts
The AlertAQ Water Intelligence Platform has a new event called "High Use". It will send alerts in the same way via SMS and email. The total volume of abnormal water use is now displayed below the Water Usage timeline in yellow.
Common causes of abnormal water spikes
Alert Labs has worked with: maintenance teams, property managers, facility managers, sustainability directors and more. We've gathered a lot of data on the most common causes of abnormal water usage. Here is a quick summary:
