Alert Labs Shortlisted for Intelligent Buildings Digie Award
Alert Labs, a Watsco technology company that delivers award-winning water intelligence solutions for commercial portfolios—including water leak detection, water use analysis and reporting through the AlertAQ™ platform —was shortlisted in the Best Tech Innovation | Intelligent Buildings category for its Flowie-O Smart Water Flow Sensor at the Realcomm | IBcon Digie Awards in Las Vegas.
Flowie-O, the non-intrusive smart water management solution that can be installed in seconds, was a finalist in the category that recognizes innovative automation solutions that are re-engineering the manual and disparate processes impacting the commercial real estate industry today.
For most buildings, water management is a manual process that is prone to leaks which lead to increased water damage and higher water expenditure. The Flowie-O wireless water monitoring sensor straps onto the existing water meter infrastructure and eliminates this manual process by automatically gathering water flow data and sending it to the AlertAQ™ water intelligence platform. This establishes a water use signature and provides cost-saving insights for each building. Unlike plumbed-in solutions or WiFi connected sensors, Flowie-O scales to provide visibility across a portfolio of properties to report on water consumption as well as alert users to deviations from established normal use. And it does not require any plumbing or infrastructural changes. Buildings using Alert Labs Flowie-O water flow sensors have saved more than 5 billion gallons of water, reduced $20 million in water costs, and cut CO2e emissions by 100 million pounds and counting.
As a first time finalist for this prestigious award, Alert Labs is honored to be recognized as an industry innovator and is committed to pushing the boundaries of water intelligence technology to help commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential buildings across North America protect people and buildings against damage, save on operating costs and sustain water and energy resources.
